Danger Zone
The Danger Zone contains irreversible actions that permanently affect your organization. These actions should only be performed after careful consideration and with full understanding of the consequences.
What is the Danger Zone
The Danger Zone is a special section in Settings that contains high-risk actions. It's visually distinct with red styling to indicate caution is required.

Permanent Actions
Deleting Your Organization
Organization deletion is the most severe action—it permanently removes everything associated with your organization.
How to Delete
- Navigate to Settings → Danger Zone
- Scroll to the Delete Organization section
- Click Delete Organization button
- Read the warning message carefully
- Type your organization name exactly to confirm
- Click the final Delete button
- Your organization is immediately deleted
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your organization, the following is permanently removed:
- All brands and their configurations
- All products and their metadata
- All pulses and monitoring queries
- All historical monitoring data and analytics
- All team members (they lose access immediately)
- All settings and preferences
- All alerts and notifications
- Subscription is immediately canceled
This action cannot be undone. There is no recovery process.
Confirmation Requirements
To prevent accidental deletion, KozoPulse requires strict confirmation:
Name Confirmation
You must type your organization name exactly as it appears:
- Case sensitive: "MyOrg" ≠ "myorg"
- Exact match: Spaces and special characters must match
- No autocomplete: You must type it manually
Example: If your organization is named "Acme Corp", you must type exactly "Acme Corp" (with capital A and C, and the space).

What Happens When You Delete
Understanding the deletion process:
Immediate Effects
- You're logged out and redirected to the homepage
- All team members lose access immediately
- The organization URL becomes invalid
- All monitoring queries stop running
- Your subscription is canceled (no further charges)
Data Retention
KozoPulse follows strict data deletion policies:
- All organization data is marked for deletion immediately
- Database records are permanently erased within 30 days for compliance
- Backups containing your data are retained for 90 days per our disaster recovery policy
- After 90 days, all traces of your organization are gone
Billing and Refunds
- Subscription is canceled immediately
- No future charges will occur
- No prorated refunds for partial billing periods
- Final invoice available in billing portal for 90 days
No Recovery
Who Can Delete
Organization deletion is restricted to the Owner role only:

If you're not the Owner but need to delete the organization, ask the current Owner to either:
- Delete it themselves
- Transfer ownership to you first
