Managing Alerts

Alerts notify you when significant events occur with your brand monitoring. Stay on top of sentiment changes, visibility drops, and other important events that require your attention.

What Triggers Alerts

KozoPulse automatically generates alerts when important events occur:

Sentiment Threshold Alerts

Triggered when sentiment scores cross predefined thresholds:

  • Sentiment drops below 40% (negative sentiment increasing)
  • Sentiment drops by more than 20 points in a single period
  • Negative mentions spike above normal levels
  • Sentiment remains low for 3+ consecutive monitoring periods

SOV Change Alerts

Triggered when share of voice changes significantly:

  • SOV drops below 30% (low visibility)
  • SOV decreases by more than 15 points
  • Brand moves from Healthy to At-Risk status
  • Brand moves to Critical status (<50% SOV)
  • Competitor SOV significantly increases

Alert Types

Alerts are categorized by the event that triggered them:

SENTIMENT_THRESHOLD
Sentiment score crossed a critical threshold or changed significantly
SOV_CHANGE
Share of voice dropped significantly or brand health status changed
COMPETITIVE_SHIFT
Competitor gained significant market share or displaced your brand
DATA_ANOMALY
Unusual data patterns detected that require investigation

Severity Levels Explained

Each alert has a severity level indicating urgency:

CRITICAL

Immediate attention required. Major negative events:

  • Brand drops to Critical health status
  • Sentiment falls below 30%
  • SOV drops by 25+ points
  • Multiple negative trends converge

WARNING

Action recommended soon. Concerning trends:

  • Brand moves to At-Risk status
  • Sentiment decreases 10-20 points
  • SOV declining over multiple periods
  • Competitor gaining ground steadily

INFO

Informational only. Notable but not urgent:

  • New competitor detected
  • Brand mention pattern changes
  • Pulse performance variations
  • System notifications

Alert Statuses

Alerts progress through different statuses as you manage them:

UNREAD

New alert you haven't viewed yet. Appears with a blue indicator.

READ

You've viewed the alert but haven't taken action yet.

ACKNOWLEDGED

You've acknowledged the alert and are taking action. Green indicator shows it's being handled.

DISMISSED

You've dismissed the alert as not requiring action. Moved to archived alerts.

Filtering Alerts

Use filters to find specific alerts quickly:

Available Filters

Status Filter
Show only Unread, Read, Acknowledged, or Dismissed alerts
Brand Filter
View alerts for a specific brand only
Product Filter
Filter by specific product alerts
Severity Filter
Show only Critical, Warning, or Info alerts
Type Filter
Filter by alert type (Sentiment, SOV, etc.)

Managing Alert Status

Change alert statuses to track your progress:

Mark as Read

  1. Click any unread alert to open details
  2. It automatically marks as Read
  3. Or click Mark as Read button without opening

Acknowledge Alert

  1. Open the alert details
  2. Click Acknowledge button
  3. Optionally add a note about your action plan
  4. Alert moves to Acknowledged status

Dismiss Alert

  1. Open the alert details
  2. Click Dismiss button
  3. Confirm dismissal
  4. Alert is archived and hidden from main view

Bulk Actions

Manage multiple alerts at once:

How to Use Bulk Actions

  1. Select multiple alerts using checkboxes
  2. Click the bulk action button that appears
  3. Choose action: Mark as Read, Acknowledge, or Dismiss
  4. Confirm the action
  5. All selected alerts update simultaneously

Common Bulk Use Cases

  • Mark all INFO alerts as Read after reviewing
  • Dismiss multiple resolved alerts at once
  • Acknowledge all Critical alerts you're investigating
  • Clear out old notifications quickly
